Our client is a well-established and highly respected structural steel fabrication and construction business, supplying and erecting fabricated steelwork across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a CNC Operator with experience working with Structural Steel Sections to join their busy Production team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing and ambitious business, reporting to the CNC/Production Manager and ensuring all parts are processed accurately and on time, whilst ensuring materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.
CNC Operator - Position Remuneration
- £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, full-time

CNC Operators - Position Overview
- Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes
- Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work
- Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targets
- Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems
- Carry out regular accuracy checks and ensure products are correctly marked before passing to the next operation
- Report any machinery issues to the CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions
- Ensure materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required

- Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment
- Experience working with Structural Steel Sections is essential
- Good understanding of CNC machinery and production processes
- Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Conscientious, hardworking, flexible and health and safety aware
