Position Overview
Export Coordinator role with a long-established freight forwarding and logistics business operating at the heart of the UK shipping industry. The company provides cost‑effective, multimodal transport solutions worldwide, including air, sea, road, and rail. The business is particularly strong within ocean freight operations and customs clearance, supported by extensive overseas agent networks and strong relationships with carriers and hauliers. The team has a strong focus on service quality, compliance, teamwork, and ensuring smooth and efficient operations for all customers & clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage export shipments across airfreight and seafreight operations.
- Communicate with customers, hauliers, carriers, and overseas agents.
- Arrange bookings with shipping lines and airlines.
- Coordinate collections, ensuring vessel and flight deadlines are met.
- Complete export customs declarations and associated documentation.
- Prepare export documentation, manifests, and certificates of origin where required.
- Liaise with warehouses to confirm screening and check weighing have been completed.
- Finalise documentation and confirm vessels and flights have been met.
- Issue invoices and send pre‑alerts to overseas agents.
- Follow up post‑delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further opportunities.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in export operations.
- Experience handling airfreight and seafreight exports is essential.
- Strong understanding of export documentation and country‑specific requirements.
- Experience completing customs declarations.
- Working knowledge of CNS and Destin8 systems.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with a friendly, professional manner.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong team player with a proactive approach.
- Good standard of English and Maths.
Remuneration
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
- Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience).
