Join a growing commercial team delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit out projects across the region. We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our expanding team, working on a diverse portfolio of commercial refurbishment, fit out and planned works projects. You will play a key role in securing new projects, preparing competitive tenders and supporting the commercial delivery of works for local authorities, major FM providers and commercial clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands refurbishment environments, enjoys working closely with clients and subcontractors, and wants to make a real impact within a growing business.

The Role

  • Managing the estimating and commercial process from tender stage through to project delivery, including:
    • Preparing accurate estimates, quotations and competitive tender submissions.
    • Reviewing drawings, specifications and client requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Producing detailed pricing, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost plans.
    • Pricing refurbishment and fit out works across multiple trades.
    • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
    • Supporting procurement and commercial management of projects.
    • Monitoring costs, variations and project performance.
    • Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients and supply chain partners.
    • Providing clear commercial reporting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Commercial professional within construction.
  • Experience delivering or pricing commercial refurbishment, fit out or planned maintenance projects.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, estimating and construction costs.
  • Ability to confidently read drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Background working with FM providers, local authorities, healthcare, education, offices or commercial clients.
  • Experience with refurbishment, reactive works or fit out packages.
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts, variations and project cost reporting.
