We are currently recruiting for a Part‑Time Transport Controller to join a busy passenger transport operation based near Heathrow. This role provides evening cover while the main controllers are on break and plays a key part in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient transport operations during peak evening periods. You’ll be responsible for coordinating drivers and vehicles, monitoring services in real time, and dealing with any operational issues to keep services running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control daily transport operations during the evening shift
  • Allocate drivers and vehicles to routes and duties as required
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers during the shift
  • Handle delays, disruptions, and operational issues quickly and calmly
  • Ensure services run in line with schedules and customer expectations
  • Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems with any changes or incidents
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and transport regulations

Shift Pattern & Hours

  • 4 on / 4 off rota
  • Evening shifts: 18:00 - 22:00

About You

  • Previous experience in transport control, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role is preferred.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with drivers and operational teams.
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and make quick, practical decisions.
  • Organised, reliable, and detail‑focused.
  • Comfortable working evening shifts on a rotating 4 on / 4 off pattern.
  • Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or transport systems is an advantage.
