They are based in Tilbury at the heart of the shipping industry in the Southeast.
They handle importations and exportations of all/any cargos by multimodal means- Air, Sea, Road & Rail.
They are looking for a LCL Import Operator with experience of all modes of transport to enhance their busy team.
- Import Coordinator - Job Responsibilities
- Manage the import process for LCL shipments, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of air and deep-sea freight from point of origin to destination.
- Utilise Multifreight, CNS, and Destin8 systems to manage and track shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor and track air cargo shipments, providing regular updates to clients and internal teams on shipment status.
- Obtain necessary releases from airlines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Communicate effectively with airline sheds to arrange cargo releases and collections, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Organise and manage the collection of cargo from airlines within the limited free time allowed, coordinating with transport providers to ensure timely pickups.
- Prepare and process all relevant import documentation, including customs declarations, shipping documents, and delivery orders.
- Resolve any issues related to import shipments, including delays, documentation discrepancies, or customs queries.
- Ensure all import activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Import Coordinator - Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in LCL import operations, with a focus on air and deep-sea freight.
- Hands-on experience with Multifreight, CNS, and Destin8 systems.
