Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing Midlands-based demolition contractor, delivering complex residential, commercial, and industrial projects across the region. Known for their expertise, commitment to safety, and high-quality service, they are now looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to oversee and maintain the highest standards of site safety across all projects.
Working closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice, while fostering a safety-first culture throughout the business.
Position Remuneration- Base salary: £50,000-£65,000 per year, depending on experience
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Holidays: Standard company holiday allowance plus bank holidays
- Training & development: Ongoing support to develop health, safety, and compliance knowledge, with exposure to live demolition and construction projects.

- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across all demolition and construction projects
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards
- Provide guidance, support, and training to project managers, site teams, and subcontractors on H&S best practice
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing reports and recommending corrective actions
- Monitor and maintain statutory records, reports, and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, industry standards, and best practice to ensure continuous improvement
- Promote a safety-first culture throughout the business, fostering awareness, accountability, and engagement at all levels.
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager or Officer within demolition, construction, or a related sector
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
- Experience conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and audits
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor H&S policies and procedures
- Competent in incident investigation, reporting, and recommending corrective actions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent) or higher, with demonstrable H&S experience in demolition/construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and H&S management software.
