Location: Bedford

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30, will change after 6 months' probation period.

Salary: £35,000- to £45,000

My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers and placing an enormous amount of emphasis on working as a team, drivers, and office staff alike. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles.

Relevant transport planning experience is not essential; however specialist haulage experience would be advantageous. We are focused on finding the right person with the right attitude and personality.

Key responsibilities:
  • Planning and coordinating specialist haulage movements across the UK
  • Managing routes, schedules, and driver planning
  • Liaising with drivers, customers, suppliers, and site contacts
  • Adapting quickly to last-minute changes and operational demands
  • Monitoring deliveries and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently
  • Supporting the transport team with day-to-day operations
