To assist in organising, directing and coordinating the activities of all Drivers and the resources necessary for the safe, efficient, and economic movement of freight through our client's distribution system.
Quote nationally and handle bookings via the Haulier Exchange platform maximising revenue for the business.
- Answer inbound telephone calls quickly and efficiently.
- Proactively monitor the owned and ISP fleet.
- Receive telephone and email instructions from clients and record relevant details accurately on the Company's data management system.
- Maintain high standard customer service levels by ensuring a rapid response to their requirements.
- Handle telephone enquiries from Drivers/customers quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure that regulations regarding hours of work, the operational safety and efficiency of Company and vehicles and other statutory regulations are complied with.
- Daily Driver debriefing.
- Assist when required in the induction and appropriate training of individuals.
- Ensure accurate storage and prompt retrieval of information.
- Ensure individuals, teams, colleagues, Managers and clients are advised of appropriate information.
Position Requirements:
- At least 3 years' solid working experience in a logistics/warehousing environment.
- Experience with clients and Driver support.
- Preferred good working knowledge of the Haulier Exchange Platform.
- Preferred experience quoting nationally from small vans to full loads.
- Must have excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Candidate must have knowledge of route planning manually.
- Working knowledge of EU Driver hours Regulations.
- In depth knowledge of courier requirements.
- Knowledge of Aviation Security.
Position Remuneration:
- Up to £29,000 per annum (including overtime).
- Sunday to Thursday - 15:00 - 00:00.
- Annual Leave of 25 days plus bank holidays.
- Salary Sacrifice Pension scheme.
- Death in Service Life Assurance.
