Our client is a leading UK-based manufacturer of specialist sterilisation solutions, serving a variety of professional, research, and clinical sectors worldwide. On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Stores Person to join their team at their site in Sidcup. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of day-to-day activities relating to goods receiving, dispatch of spares and finished goods, conduct rolling and annual stock takes and maintain a high level of cleanliness and order in the stores.
Package:
- Salary £27,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Early finish Fridays
- Working hours Monday - Thursday 8am till 5pm and Fridays 8am till 1pm
Responsibilities:
- Prioritise department tasks and activities
- Despatch co-ordination
- Maintain effective communication with other departments
- Maintain stock control activities by ensuring appropriate logs, systems are kept up to date
- Receiving and verifying deliveries, checking quantities and documents supplied
- Distribution of goods from stock
- Sales and Works order picking and packing of parts
- To maintain a tidy working environment
- Departmental plant maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous Stores/warehouse experience
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Good computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and MRP stock management system (Currently Omnis)
- Forklift truck & Pallet truck experience
