Our client is a leading UK-based manufacturer of specialist sterilisation solutions, serving a variety of professional, research, and clinical sectors worldwide. On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Senior Stores Person to join their team at their site in Sidcup. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership for the goods-in, stores and despatch functions.
Package:
- Salary £30,000 - £34,000 (DOE)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Early finish Fridays
- Working hours Monday - Thursday 8am till 5pm and Fridays 8am till 2pm
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with colleagues in the stores, office, and workshop as part of a team
- Receive and check deliveries, ensuring correct quantities and paperwork
- Prepare and despatch parts and finished goods to customers and service teams
- Manage stock levels and maintain accurate records, including regular stock checks
- Pick parts and materials according to Bills of Materials for production
- Support the Quality Manager and senior management during ISO audits
- Work with the Production Manager to prioritise daily tasks and manage shortages
- Communicate with Service and Sales teams to organise the dispatch of goods
- Handle returns or rejected parts and liaise with the Quality Manager
- Keep all records and systems up to date, including stock logs and registers
- Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and organised
- Monitor and maintain plant and equipment used in the department
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory Stores experience
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Good computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and MRP stock management system (Currently Omnis)
- Electric Forklift truck experience
- Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
