Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support the estimating team in the preparation of accurate and timely costings. This role involves working closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and commercially sound decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Administration
- Create and maintain documentation to support the production of costing and estimating information
- Ensure a well-organised and efficient administrative process that supports company objectives
- Enquiry Management
- Review and assess incoming enquiries
- Gather sufficient information to support the Estimating Manager in identifying risks, concerns, and opportunities
- Help prioritise projects with the highest potential success and suitability
- Supply Chain
- Develop and maintain relationships with specialist suppliers
- Support sourcing activities to ensure customer requirements can be met effectively
- Contracts
- Develop understanding of contract terms and conditions; identify potential risks or onerous conditions within contract documentation; support the protection of company interests through awareness of contractual obligations
- Client Interface
- Assist in client meetings where required; support the presentation and explanation of costings, variations, and final accounts; ensure clarity and accuracy in all client communications
- Health & Safety
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
