Our client is a well-established building services company delivering mechanical and facilities solutions across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to take ownership of the estimating process and play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive and profitable tenders.
Position Overview
- Manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
- Analyse tender drawings, specifications and contract documentation to establish project requirements and commercial risks.
- Undertake detailed take-offs, prepare bills of quantities and build up rates for labour, plant and materials.
- Manage supply chain enquiries, obtaining and analysing competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, designers and internal teams throughout the tendering process.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and value engineering to improve project value and profitability.
- Ensure cost planning and estimating accurately reflect project requirements.
