Our client is a London-based company that provides nationwide turnkey furnishing and property services, mainly for social housing providers, landlords, and property developers. They supply and install furniture, flooring, appliances, and window coverings, alongside maintenance services such as cleaning, repairs, and property preparation to make homes move-in ready quickly. With over 30 years of experience, the company is known for fast turnaround times, competitive pricing, and a full-service "one-stop shop" approach to furnishing and maintaining residential properties.
The company is growing with a newly commissioned contract for maintenance work, requiring a Quantity Surveyor who is up to date with the NHF schedule of Rates, NHF form of contract and SOR codes experience. You'll be overseeing projects that encompass void properties, planned and unplanned works. The role also includes contract administration and risk management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality and compliance standards.
- Deliver end-to-end commercial oversight, ensuring projects remain financially viable from inception to completion.
- Lead tender submissions, including pricing, bid analysis, and development of winning strategies.
- Provide strategic cost advice to support decision-making across projects.
- Monitor project performance against budgets, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Support the selection and onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers through structured evaluation.
Knowledge of NHF Schedule of works and form of contract is essential.
Quantity Surveying Degree preferred, or several years in a similar or equivalent position.
Experience working with, for or contracted to a Local Authority is preferred.
A full driving licence is required for this position.
Ability to work independently, travel to and from sites.
Salary up to £75,000 depending on your experience.
Work phone and car or van provided.
Private healthcare scheme.
40 hour week with the options of 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
