Our client is a well-established mechanical engineering company supplying technical products and solutions to a diverse customer base.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Technical Sales Executive. The successful candidate will have experience in a technical engineering and/or mechanical environment and will be comfortable working with technical information to support customers in finding the right solution.

Package

  • Working hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
  • Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
  • 20 days holiday + bank holiday
  • Company pension scheme

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing accounts
  • Understand customer requirements through effective questioning and communication
  • Recommend suitable technical/mechanical solutions based on client needs
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotations
  • Follow up quotations to progress opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and orders
  • Liaise with internal engineering/production teams where required
  • Support overall sales growth through proactive account management

Requirements

  • Experience in a technical, mechanical, or engineering-based environment
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, pumps, or mechanical systems is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing technical support
  • Experience producing quotations or working with CRM/sales systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand customer needs
  • Confident in handling enquiries and following up sales opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
