As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You will play a crucial role in managing supplier negotiations, implementing best practices, and driving efficiencies across the supply chain. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains. Manage and mentor a team of three procurement operatives, providing guidance and performance oversight. Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively. Analyse purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. Minimum 2 years' experience managing people in a procurement or purchasing environment. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar role. Level 3 CIPS qualification or equivalent experience. Ability to analyse data, assess risks, and make strategic purchasing decisions.
