Our client is a dynamic residential construction company with a strong portfolio in new builds, refurbishments, and extensions. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join their close-knit team.

Package
Up to £50,000 basic salary + package

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD and SketchUp Pro.
  • Produce accurate planning, building regulation, and construction drawing packages.
  • Liaise with local authorities to support and submit planning applications and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Interpret architectural designs and convert them into technical documentation for site teams and contractors.
  • Coordinate with structural engineers, surveyors, and consultants as required.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data, monitor progress, and resolve design-related issues.
  • Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations and planning policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in residential architecture, particularly new builds, refurbishments, and extensions.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp Pro.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning procedures and building regulations.
  • Experience liaising with local planning authorities and managing applications through to approval.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant qualification in Architecture.
