Job Title: HGV Refrigeration Engineer
Location : Rotherham
Salary : Competitive, depending on experience £40,000 - £45,000
Hours : 07:00 - 16:00We are currently recruiting for an On-Site Fridge Engineer / Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join an established transport and logistics operation with a fleet of 50+ HGVs and trailers, including refrigerated vehicles.
HGV Refrigeration Engineer - The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the company's refrigerated vehicles operational and ensuring refrigeration units are maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities:
- Servicing and maintaining refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans
- Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Working on fridge/freezer units across the commercial vehicle fleet
- Identifying mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolving them efficiently
- Completing service sheets, maintenance records and relevant paperwork
- Keeping accurate records of repairs, servicing and parts used
- Ensuring all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date
- Helping minimise vehicle downtime across the fleet
