We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Transport Controller to join a busy passenger transport operation based near Heathrow. This role provides evening cover while the main controllers are on break and plays a key part in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient transport operations during peak evening periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control daily transport operations during the evening shift
  • Allocate drivers and vehicles to routes and duties as required
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers during the shift
  • Handle delays, disruptions, and operational issues quickly and calmly
  • Ensure services run in line with schedules and customer expectations
  • Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems with any changes or incidents
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and transport regulations

Shift Pattern & Hours

  • 4 on / 4 off rota
  • Evening shifts: 18:00 - 22:00
  • Average of around 14 hours per week

Pay £15.52 per hour

About You

  • Previous experience in transport control, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role is preferred
  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with drivers and operational teams
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and make quick, practical decisions
  • Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working evening shifts on a rotating 4 on / 4 off pattern
  • Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or transport systems is an advantage
