Job Description Mechanical Estimator Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience (Plus car allowance) Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + birthday off, profit share scheme, salary sacrifice pension, death in service, cycle to work scheme & company events \n Our client is a well-established building services company delivering mechanical and facilities solutions across a range of sectors. \n Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to take ownership of the estimating process and play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive and profitable tenders. \n Mechanical Estimator - Position Overview \n \n Manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. \n Analyse tender drawings, specifications and contract documentation to establish project requirements and commercial risks. \n Manage supply chain enquiries, obtaining and analysing competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. \n Identify opportunities for innovation and value engineering to improve project value and profitability. \n Ensure cost planning and estimating accurately reflect project requirements and risk profile. \n Support commercial management through valuations, variations, cost value analysis and final accounts. \n Identify and support the management of project risks and opportunities. \n \n Mechanical Estimator - Position Requirements \n \n Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within construction or building services. \n Strong mechanical background with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. \n Experience preparing detailed tenders, undertaking take-offs and building up rates. \n Strong commercial awareness with experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations. \n Good understanding of mechanical materials, products and installation requirements. \n Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating/commercial systems. \n Flexible, proactive and commercially minded approach. \We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying to this post you are granting us consent to process your data and contact you in relation to this application. \
