Streamline Search are recruiting on behalf of our client. Our client has been established for nearly 50 years and is experienced in the Freight and Logistics industry. They are based in Tilbury at the heart of the shipping industry in the Southeast. They handle importations and exportations of all/any cargos by multimodal means - Air, Sea, Road & Rail. They are looking for a proactive Sales & Development Executive with experience of all modes of transport to enhance their busy team.
Responsibilities:
- Source your own business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
- Generate new sales, including FCL / LCL sea freight, air freight and road freight, import and export.
- Work flexibly, both in the office and out in the field.
- Ability to bring in own transferable business is a definite advantage.
- Able to complete quotations with correct clauses.
Requirements:
- Ideally at least 2 years' experience in selling sea, air, and road freight in a forwarding environment.
- Experience of sales and development.
- Good overall knowledge of the Global freight industry.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong telesales experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and friendly personality.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Outstanding English and Mathematics skills.
Remunerations:
- Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
- £27,500 - £32,500
- Commission scheme: 10% of gross profit for new customers, and 5% of gross profit for customers already on the company's books/customers retained.
- Standard holiday plus bank holidays.
