Overhead Crane Engineer required. Our client is a leading specialist in heavy lifting equipment and overhead crane systems. Established in the 1980s, they are a highly respected and well-established business within the lifting industry. Due to continued growth, ongoing success, and recent contract wins, they are now seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Engineer to join their expanding team. The company supplies and services a wide range of lifting equipment including new and used overhead travelling cranes, goliath and semi-goliath cranes, swing jibs, and electric chain hoists. In addition to sales, they provide full servicing, maintenance, repairs, installations, modifications, and removals of lifting systems across a variety of industrial environments.
Position Overview
- Service, maintenance, and breakdown support on overhead and gantry cranes
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Inspection, testing, and commissioning of lifting equipment where required
- Carrying out installations, upgrades, and modifications to crane systems
- Working safely on customer sites within industrial and manufacturing environments
- Completing service reports and associated documentation accurately
- Providing excellent customer service and technical support on site
- Participating in call-out and overtime work when required
Position Requirements
- Previous experience working on overhead cranes, hoists, or lifting equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repair work
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working at height and within industrial environments
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Relevant engineering qualifications or lifting industry certifications would be advantageous
- Knowledge of LOLER regulations and crane inspection procedures is desirable
Position Remuneration
- Salary £40,000 - £45,000 (Depending on experience)
- Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays
- Overtime Available
