About the Company

Our client is a growing medical technology and manufacturing business based in Maidenhead, developing clinician-led products that support improved patient care. Operating in a quality-driven and regulated environment, the business places strong emphasis on manufacturing standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Warehouse & Production Operations Manager to take ownership of warehouse operations while working closely with production and dispatch to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day activity.

The Role

This role sits at the intersection of warehouse, production, and dispatch. The successful candidate will manage warehouse operations while supporting production flow, equipment preparation, inventory control, and quality standards. It is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone with experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing, technical, or regulated environment, who is comfortable being visible on the shop floor and driving standards through people and process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant processes
  • Oversee inbound and outbound goods, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely dispatch
  • Work closely with production teams to support workflow, materials availability, and order completion
  • Supervise equipment assembly, preparation, and packing in line with manufacturing and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate stock control, inventory records, and stock movement using WMS/ERP systems
  • Anticipate material and component shortages and liaise with suppliers to maintain continuity
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Support and participate in internal and external audits (ISO / quality-led environments)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and process standardisation
  • Lead, train, and develop warehouse and production support staff
  • Conduct regular checks, audits, and performance reviews within the operation
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to align operational priorities

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in warehouse or operations management within a manufacturing or technical environment
  • Background in production, assembly, or manufacturing operations highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance, and health & safety
  • Experience supporting audits (ISO9001 or similar standards)
  • Hands-on leadership style with experience managing and developing teams
  • Confident using WMS / ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Epicor) and Microsoft Office
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment
