Our client is a well-established construction business delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare and refurbishment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.

Reporting to the senior management team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, leading teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to play a key role within a successful and growing construction organisation.

Position Remuneration
  • Salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 with an earlier finish on Fridays

Position Overview
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors and labour resources to achieve project objectives, programme requirements and quality standards
  • Work closely with the Construction Manager and wider project team to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Maintain responsibility for health and safety compliance, ensuring site activities are carried out in line with company procedures and legislation
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, providing effective communication and issue resolution
  • Monitor progress against the project programme, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Coordinate labour, plant and material requirements to support efficient project delivery
  • Liaise with procurement teams to ensure materials and plant are delivered in line with project requirements
  • Review workmanship, quality standards and subcontractor performance, addressing any issues promptly
  • Ensure all project documentation, site records, instructions and reports are accurately maintained and submitted
  • Prepare and present progress updates for site meetings and management reviews
  • Work collaboratively with commercial and design teams to resolve technical queries and minimise disruption
  • Manage snagging, defects and completion processes to ensure successful project handover
  • Attend production and coordination meetings to review progress, resources and upcoming project requirements
Position Requirements
  • Relevant construction qualification such as a Degree or equivalent industry qualification
  • Valid SMSTS certification
  • Valid CSCS Managers or Professional card
  • First Aid qualification
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, site management processes and project delivery
  • Proven experience managing construction projects from start to completion
  • Experience leading site teams, subcontractors and labour resources effectively
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements, including RAMS, asbestos awareness and safe working at height
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Experience monitoring programmes, managing resources and delivering against deadlines
  • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
