We're looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager / Controller to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy, state-of-the-art Bodyshop in Whitstable. You'll be responsible for managing the Bodyshop operation and site team, ensuring efficient workflow, strong performance and consistently high standards of quality and customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Bodyshop
- Manage workshop, estimating, customer service and parts departments
- Lead, motivate and develop the site team
- Plan and maintain an efficient workflow across the Bodyshop
- Ensure monthly targets, SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved
- Manage site financial performance, budgets and profitability
- Monitor departmental performance and implement improvements where required
- Maintain high standards of quality and customer service
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, legislation and company procedures
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies
About you
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager / Controller
- Minimum 3 years experience within Bodyshop management
- Strong technical knowledge of the accident repair and Bodyshop industry
- Previous experience leading, managing and developing a team
- Strong understanding of Bodyshop operations, workflow and performance management
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to manage financial and operational targets
- Knowledge of vehicle design, manufacture, legislation and industry practices
- Understanding of BSI standards and accreditation
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident, professional and commercially focused approach
