Our client is one of the UK's leading structural steel fabrication and construction companies, designing, fabricating and erecting steelwork across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Steel Framing Detailer to join their busy Technical Office.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious business, working on a diverse range of projects from concept through to manufacture and erection. The successful candidate will produce accurate drawings, 3D models and manufacturing information, working closely with internal teams and external project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered accurately and to a high standard.
Steel Framing Detailer - Position Remuneration£38,000 - £45,000 depending on experienceMonday to Friday, full-time, office-basedHybrid or remote working arrangements may be consideredKey role within a growing and ambitious structural steel contractorPrivate healthcare and additional employee benefitsSalary sacrifice pension schemeEmployee discounts and company benefitsSteel Framing Detailer - Position OverviewProduce detailed steel framing drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and RevitInterpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings to develop practical, buildable solutionsGenerate manufacturing information including member sizes, connection details, panel layouts and assembly sequencesCoordinate with engineers, architects, project managers, manufacturing and site teamsAttend design and project coordination meetings as requiredEnsure drawings and models meet client specifications, building regulations and manufacturing requirementsIdentify and resolve detailing and design coordination issues throughout the project lifecycleSupport material ordering, procurement and material control activities as requiredSteel Framing Detailer - Position RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience detailing Light Gauge Steel (LGS) structures using Tekla Structures, Revit or similarStrong understanding of LGS framing systems, including infill and load-bearing applicationsAbility to accurately interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawingsStrong technical, problem-solving and organisational skills with excellent attention to detailExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a wider design teamAbility to work independently with minimal technical supervisionExperience with Howick framing systems would be highly desirableStructural steel fabrication, offsite manufacturing or BIM experience would be advantageousUnderstanding of UK building regulations and construction standards relating to steel framing systems would be beneficialStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
