My client is a fast-paced courier and logistics provider, specialising in domestic, international, and same-day delivery services. The company is focused on delivering reliable, time-sensitive solutions while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join a dynamic team, supporting domestic, international, and same-day delivery operations. This role involves coordinating shipments, handling customer enquiries, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics processes. You will play a key part in maintaining service excellence, resolving issues, and supporting both internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service
- Process domestic and international shipments using carrier software, including weighing consignments, printing labels, and issuing tracking details
- Assist with quoting customer enquiries
- Manage and respond to enquiries via email, live chat, and telephone
- Take bookings and liaise with same-day controllers
- Allocate jobs to drivers and third-party suppliers
- Process jobs and proof of deliveries using internal systems
- Monitor UK overnight and international shipments, resolving any issues that arise
- Check carrier invoices, driver PODs, and complete general administrative duties
- Liaise with storage clients and provide support within the warehouse when required
- Utilise Microsoft Office for daily tasks
- Identify opportunities to upsell services to customers
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a customer service or logistics environment is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
