We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager on behalf of our client based in the Purfleet area. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing company with fantastic progression opportunities.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of operations on your shift. This includes overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring compliance, route optimisation, and responding to real-time issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle real-time service issues and customer queries, ensuring swift and effective resolution through internal systems.
- Monitor and support driver performance throughout the shift, maintaining standards in both conduct and compliance.
- Organise and adjust daily operations to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed efficiently.
- Conduct return-to-work meetings and manage low-level disciplinary matters in line with company procedures.
- Take responsibility for accurate shift handovers, including any planning adjustments or escalations.
- Carry out driver briefings and end-of-shift debriefs, ensuring any collection issues are logged and followed up.
