The predicted salary is between 30000 - 35000 £ per year.
As a BIM Coordinator, you will contribute to the creation and coordination of digital building services models and drawings, working under the guidance of the owner of the business. This role will offer 1 on 1 training with lots of development and exposure to working on complex and detailed MEP Models. The majority of the business is working on large scale Data Centre projects where you will be working on RIBA stage 3 - 6 models.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate engineered designs into accurate and coordinated outputs using Revit, AutoCAD, and associated BIM tools.
- Apply coordination principles with close attention to spatial and technical detail.
- Develop your understanding of MEP systems, building services design, and their integration within broader design systems and frameworks.
- Support Engineering delivery across project work stages, particularly RIBA Stages 5 - 6.
Focus & Development Areas
- Deepen software capability in core BIM tools and understand their implementation in real project workflows.
- Build knowledge of building services systems and their digital representation.
- Understand the range of file formats and outputs used in coordination and construction.
- Begin contributing to the improvement of digital processes, tools, and resources used across the business.
Skills and Competencies
- Previous experience in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks or similar tools is a plus.
- Understanding of BIM principles and 3D coordination best practices.
- Familiarity with MEP systems in a design or construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and commitment to learning.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in a BIM or CAD Technician role, ideally within building services or construction.
- Vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent industry experience in design or engineering.
- Understanding of BIM Level 2 workflows and ISO 19650 standards is beneficial.
