A well-established M&E contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team in Central London. You’ll be working on Rail, Aviation, Process Water and Commercial sector bids, with project values ranging from £250k up to £30m. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants exposure to technically interesting infrastructure-led work, within a stable and well-structured business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret tender documentation
- Carry out detailed mechanical take-offs
- Issue and manage supplier & subcontractor enquiries
- Analyse and level quotations
- Price labour, plant and materials
- Identify risks and value engineering opportunities
- Prepare tender submissions and adjudication packs
- Attend internal and external tender meetings
- Support project handover to delivery/commercial teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within an M&E contractor
- Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework and public health services
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing tenders from £250k to £30m
