Junior M&E Estimator in London

The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading fit-out contractor delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical packages across commercial projects, including major contracts with banks and supermarket clients.

With an annual turnover of circa £200 million and projects typically up to £1 million in value, they are looking to appoint a Junior M&E Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stages of their estimating career looking to develop within a well-established business offering structure, support, and clear progression.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation of mechanical and electrical estimates

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

Supporting take-offs and cost planning

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations

Assisting with tender submissions and documentation

Supporting value engineering exercises

Working closely with senior estimators and the wider pre-construction team

Requirements

Some experience within M&E estimating or a building services environment

Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems

Keen interest in developing a career within estimating

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Good communication and organisational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (desirable)

Relevant qualification or trade background (desirable)
