Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a major blue-chip client based in Thurrock, supplying LGV1 drivers for their nationwide logistics operation. The Role
As an LGV1 driver, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality service, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK. Representing the client to their end customers, your professionalism and attention to detail will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in full compliance with legal and company standards.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and maintain clear records.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and carry out basic vehicle checks.
- Use navigation aids and temperature-controlled units as required.
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
- Represent the Streamline Recruitment brand professionally in both appearance and conduct.
- Adhere to scheduled deliveries and collections.
- Perform routine quality checks as required.
- Assist with other operational duties as needed by the transport team.
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong understanding of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling when required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
- Willingness to occasionally night out in the vehicle
