The company is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to support its growing pre-construction function. Operating across data centre, commercial, and healthcare projects, the role will involve pricing mechanical services packages from initial enquiry through to final tender submission. This is a key position within the business, working closely with directors and the wider pre-construction team to secure profitable and technically compliant work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of detailed mechanical estimates for projects up to £3m
- Review and analysis of tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Full mechanical take-offs including HVAC, pipework, and public health systems
- Procurement and assessment of supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identification of risks, opportunities, exclusions, and assumptions within tenders
- Value engineering and cost optimisation where appropriate
- Participation in tender adjudication meetings and internal reviews
- Support during post-tender clarifications and client discussions
