A creative sound designer with a solid foundation in interactive audio and a track record of delivering great‑sounding games. You’re fluent in middleware, comfortable working directly in game engines, and energized by the challenge of designing for complex gameplay systems. We Are Looking for
A Sound Designer to join our award‑winning, global team in crafting high‑quality in‑game audio experiences for Arrival’s family of development partners at AAA studios such as Capcom, Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, Ubisoft, Sony Interactive Entertainment and more. In this role you will work directly embedded with our development partners’ teams – designing, implementing, and iterating to deliver world‑class interactive sound.
Responsibilities
- Design
- Contributes original in‑game sound design aligned with project goals and the overall creative direction.
- Understands and supports the sound design and execution plan for an area or pillar within the project.
- Understands how implementation requirements inform and shape sound design choices.
- Direction
- Works with senior staff to grow your sound design skillset and can collaborate effectively with teammates.
- Understands and supports the sound design vision for the title.
- Communicates proactively with your supervisor on progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Implementation
- Authors and implements sound design within middleware (Wwise, FMOD, or equivalent) and game engines (Unreal, Unity, or equivalent).
- Adapts quickly to new implementation environments, tools, and technical requirements.
- Supports the technical sound design vision for the project.
- Completes work within platform and performance constraints.
- Tool & Technical Proficiency
- Skilled with standard sound design and implementation tools.
- Basic understanding of microphones, recording equipment and processes.
- Actively pursues growth and best practices in tools usage and philosophy.
- Partners with technical and engineering teams to support innovative sound production needs.

- Supports communication between the sound design team and development partners.

Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Sound Designer on video game projects.
- Proficient with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD, or equivalent).
- Solid working knowledge of game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary equivalents).
- Strong command of sound design and mixing techniques, tools, and processes.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of audio signal flow, audio hardware and monitoring configurations.
- Imaginative use of audio production tools, Foley performance and capture, props, and recording techniques to create original content.
- Experience working with game development teams across disciplines such as animation, level design, AI, and physics.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- At least one shipped AAA title.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Lua, Python, Blueprint, or C#.
- Familiarity with object‑based logic systems such as Unreal Blueprint.
