Picture Shop’s On Location Services is part of Streamland Media, a rapidly expanding global post production team. Our department provides dailies color correction services and editorial rentals on set, near set, in a nearby facility (Burbank, Atlanta, Vancouver, Toronto, London, NYC), as well as remote cloud services. We are a team of colorists, operators, producers, and engineers with cumulative knowledge of hardware, software, color management, color correction, editing, camera and networking that work together to make complex workflows possible and to adapt constantly with the ever-changing landscape of camera formats and client requests.
We are looking to add a dailies operator to our team that will focus on nightly tasks related to broadcast and theatrical dailies. You will be responsible for all dailies processing steps, including color (LUT/CDL application & camera matching), sound syncing, and metadata entry. You will be responsible for creating and QCing all client deliverables, as well as preparing reports for both clients and internal teams as needed. Additionally, you’ll manage communication with the DIT, Director of Photography, Producers & Editorial teams.
Your shift will align with production’s shoot wrap schedule and will typically be a swing shift, with occasional requests for extended/OT and/or weekend hours depending on production’s needs. Flexibility is key to the role.
The ideal candidate is self-sufficient and has extreme attention to detail. You should be able to work independently on a single project, taking care of all tasks, but equally comfortable working on a team across multiple projects. This requires excellent interpersonal communications skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. You must be able to absorb new information quickly and solve technical challenges quickly.
Experience we’re looking for:
- Experience with Colorfront Express Dailies, Colorfront On Set Dailies
- Experience with Resolve, Avid, or other post-production software
- Familiarity of OSX, Windows, Linux operating systems
- Experience with LTO tapes and archiving
- Experience working in dailies
- Knowledge of picture industry technology, standards, codecs, and practices
- Familiarity with prominent cameras and formats from ARRI, Sony, Red, Blackmagic etc.
- Passion for post production
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment
- Willingness to have flexible schedule
- Eagerness to learn

- Strong communication skills to explain technical things to non-technical people

This position’s contracted hours will be evenings / late evenings / unsocial hours and may require 6th days or weekend work. Productions may film 6 days a week, over weekends, or for extended hours. The ideal candidate understands film and television production does not keep to standard office hours.
There is a shuttle bus that runs from Pinewood Studios to Slough train station from 07:00 until 19:00. Candidates will not be provided with transport or expenses towards transport and will be expected to make their own way to and from their work base.
