What we need!

Picture Shop UK is looking for a Post Production Engineer who is able to work in the diverse and highly agile dailies environment, at an elite level for our On Location Services Group. Candidates must be natural problem solvers who understand the criticality of service uptime support, client servicing environments and an eye for content security. We are looking for someone with a broad range of post services and platforms, teamworking you will have the backing and be supporting a global team. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player, prepared to share knowledge and help develop the skills of others across all Streamland businesses both in the UK and across the wider group.

What we need you to do!

  • Design, Implementation and Support of various post production technologies and infrastructure.
  • Creative staff & Client helpdesk functions including call handling/logging and some general IT support duties.
  • Software imaging & hardware installations and maintenance.

What Experience we’re looking for!

  • An understanding of computer setup focused on MacOS, Linux, and some Windows 11, basic knowledge of Avid editing systems.
  • LTO decks and systems knowledge.
  • Understanding colour grading (Colorfront, Filmlight, and Blackmagic).
  • Experience of High-end workflows & technology to produce UHD/HDR content.
  • Linux OS and MacOS Experience is needed; Windows is a plus.
  • Any virtualisation, networking, remote working solution experience is also an advantage.
  • Scripting and or coding experience is an advantage.

What else do we need you to know?

  • Candidates must be available within 1 month of interview.
  • This is a rotating, shift-based working pattern of Mon – Fri covering early 06.00 – 14.00 and mid 09:00-17:00 shifts, with some ad hoc work out of hours including weekends.
  • This position’s contracted hours will be early and mid shifts and may require 6th days or weekend work.
  • Productions may film 6 days a week, over weekends, or for extended hours. The ideal candidate understands film and television production does not keep to standard office hours.
  • There is a shuttle bus that runs from Pinewood Studios to Slough train station from 07:00 until 19:00.
  • Candidates will not be provided with transport or expenses towards transport and will be expected to make their own way to and from their work base.
