The Risk ops analyst role is part of our UK Operations team. The analysts are responsible for reviewing and completing periodic reviews across our client and customer base - from both an AML and Credit perspective. Know Your Customer (“KYC”), Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), all applicable laws and UK regulations and to safeguard Wagestream against financial crime risk.
The role responsibilities will also include completing Know Your Business(‘KYB”) for new and existing clients through onboarding AML checks and on-going monitoring. The Risk Ops Analyst will report into our Client Risk Manager and work closely with our Risk and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- You will conduct client due diligence and enhanced due diligence in accordance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines aligned to jurisdictions and/or client structures.
- You will conduct the KYB /KYC / CDD checks on clients that are part of the standard periodic review periods or outside of the standard cycles due to a change in client, regulatory or business requirements.
- You will perform client refresh/remediation through the review of client documentation, vendor databases and data entered into proprietary systems to ensure all requirements are met.
- Reviewing screening alerts to ensure that any positive matches against relevant sanctions and PEPs lists are dealt with appropriately and promptly.
- You will participate in internal/external audits and quality checks.
- Review alerts and on-going monitoring requirements for existing clients in line with KYB policies.
- You will liaise with sales/ client outreach teams to obtain and validate correct documentation to fulfil requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and investigate suspicious transactions or activities promptly.
- Offer advice and solutions to the Customer Support team on escalated issues.
Desired Skills / Experience
- Anti Money Laundering, Know Your Business/Customer/Client Due Diligence experience preferred or related fields (Compliance, Risk Management, Financial Crimes).
- You will have experience performing in a process-oriented production environment that changes periodically.
- You will have the ability to organise work, prioritise tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using financial crime detection tools and software (Experian Authenticate, Onfido, DowJones, CIFAS, CreditSafe KYC Protect) and open source data.
- Experience in using business intelligence systems (Dun & Bradstreet).
- Understanding of and interest in Fintech, consumer credit, savings, and financial services regulation desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Familiar with Google Suite and MS Office Suite (Excel/Word).

- Relevant certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ICA/CAMS) or equivalent.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a qualified university.
Contract Terms: Temporary contract running until the end of the year.
Remuneration: £275-300 per day.
