- Experience with ITIL processes and incident management tools.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as Python, Tidal, or Ansible would be advantageous.
The Opportunity
A leading banking organisation is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join its Global Markets Technology team in London. This is a front-office facing role supporting critical FX trading applications and working directly with traders, sales teams, and technology stakeholders across global markets.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical FX trading platforms, while contributing to automation initiatives and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day application support for FX trading platforms, ensuring rapid incident resolution and proactive issue prevention.
- Deliver face-to-face and remote support to FX Trading and Sales desks globally.
- Support and maintain FX trading applications including Murex, WSS FX, Celer, SmartTrade, and internal bank applications.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis through to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to implement permanent fixes and platform improvements.
- Monitor application and system performance, improving alerting and reducing issue resolution times.
- Maintain and enhance support documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
- Develop and improve automation tooling for recurring operational processes.
