Stream Marine Training (SMT) is a specialist provider of training and consultancy services to the Global Maritime sector, including Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Offshore Construction, and Cruise Lines. Our team consists of experienced former seafarers, offshore managers, and learning and competence specialists.
This is a full-time instructor position based between our Glasgow Airport and Greenock Sites delivering theory and practical lifeboat and fast rescue boat courses for the Maritime and OPTIO Industries. The Maritime & Boats Instructor will be responsible for delivering courses including the practical aspects on the water and in the swimming pool. Therefore, we are looking for someone with small boat handling experience; experience in the offshore industry would be desirable. Instructors will also be responsible for daily maintenance of the survival craft.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Able Seafarer Certificate
- Minimum of Basic STCW Certificates plus 6 months sea time
- OPITO ITSO, FRC Boatman and FRC Coxswain (desirable but not essential)
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 (desirable)
- Small boat handling experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
- Experience in delivering training and consultancy services
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems
Package: Starting £33,000 per annum, 32 days annual leave, Company Pension, On-site parking.
