This is a rare and exciting opportunity to set up an in-house design consultancy within a North West based D&B fit out contractor. Currently, they use external practices which is not as efficient or cost-effective as having their own internal team. The design business will operate under its own cost centre and be responsible for producing designs for fit out projects ranging in value from £500k to £5m. These are across a multitude of industries including commercial offices, the public sector, national roll-out programmes, and numerous leisure D&B projects.
The successful candidate will come with extensive experience of working for a practice in a senior role where you will have led the design of fit out projects at various RIBA stages. We really need someone who can build and lead a team together with strong client management skills. This role lends itself to someone who has always wanted their own practice. You must have experience in architectural design within fit-out and be strong enough to build and lead a team.
