Stratton Mills Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Childrens Residential Agency Support Worker to join our expanding social care team on a zero hour contract basis. This role offers flexible agency work across a range of residential homes supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and complex needs.

If you are an experienced Childrens Residential Support Worker or have relevant UK social care experience and are looking for flexible shifts, this opportunity could be ideal for you.

The Role:

  • Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people
  • Support children with routines, activities, appointments, and education
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and company policies at all times
  • Work alongside permanent staff and multi-agency professionals
  • Adapt confidently to different residential homes and teams

Every Childrens Residential Support Worker plays a key role in ensuring children feel safe, supported, and valued.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Minimum 6 months experience within the UK social care sector (mandatory)
  • Experience can be gained in childrens residential homes, adult residential homes, care homes, supported living services, hospitals, or other regulated social care environments
  • Enhanced DBS (can be processed through the agency)
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, and sleep-ins
  • Willingness to travel between services
  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
