Are you an experienced Residential Support Worker looking for your next opportunity? We're recruiting for a Childrens Residential Support Worker to join a 2-bed children's residential home in Tewkesbury supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing and empowering environment where children are truly at the centre of all we do. Our homes provide care for children who may have experienced trauma, loss or instability. They need adults who are patient, resilient and committed to helping them heal and grow. This is a demanding but deeply rewarding role. Key Responsibilities
Provide daily care and emotional support to children. Keep children safe and respond calmly to challenging behaviour. Support education, learning and school routines. Encourage independence and everyday life skills. Use safe physical intervention when required and appropriately trained. Build positive relationships with families and professionals. Complete accurate records and contribute to care plans. Support admissions, transitions and changes in care. Work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins. Attend team meetings, supervision and training. Requirements Essential:
Good level of education (GCSE or equivalent).
Willingness to undertake Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.
Full UK driving licence. Desirable:
Previous experience in residential childcare or social care.
Relevant qualifications in social care or child development. What We Offer
