Stratospherec is delighted to be recruiting an Educational Application and Learning Systems Administrator for one of its clients, based in Birmingham in the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an educational technologist to work for an organization that is expanding its education and SEND provision.
In this role you will report into the Head of Applications where you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the company’s education and safeguarding systems. You will work closely with school leaders, SEND professionals, safeguarding teams, and operational colleagues to ensure systems are compliant, user‑friendly and support high‑quality educational delivery, ensuring schools and educational teams are supported by reliable, high‑quality technology that helps children thrive.
This is the perfect role for an experienced IT Systems Administrator who enjoys working at the intersection of education, safeguarding, SEND, applications and systems, ideally within a school or multi‑site education environment. You will also need to be technically confident, highly organised, and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
Whilst previous experience in an educational or social care setting would be desirable, as would an understanding of SEND, safeguarding, and educational compliance with knowledge of educational IT applications such as Bromcom, CPOMS, or other educational platforms, the company will also consider experienced application systems administrators with previous experience of working in regulated environments who have a collaborative, service‑focused approach, with a strong commitment to data quality, security, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Administering and configuring Education IT Systems applications.
- Supporting classroom delivery, SEND processes, and safeguarding workflows.
- Identifying and delivering system improvements that enhance educational outcomes.
- Managing user access, permissions, and data governance in line with GDPR and safeguarding standards.
- Providing day‑to‑day system support, training, and guidance to education teams.
- Supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
- Working with data and reporting to colleagues to support insight and decision‑making.
- Ensuring system stability, data quality and compliance with information governance and safeguarding standards.
