5 days per week in offices in Whiteley and paying to 70k per annum. We are recruiting for a global Software company who are a well-established Fintech Software Systems company in Whiteley and they are in the process of changing their current testing team to improve the way they automate their software development, test and release of new software applications related to a number of recent acquisitions and international projects.

My client builds applications using C#, .Net core, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps and JavaScript with a test team in the UK and an outsourced team. They are looking for a Lead Tester who will manage a small test team, manage software release functions but also be able to provide hands-on software testing tasks as well.

This role will be to work across a software test team who manually test their UI, API and Database applications and help them start their journey with automating their testing of their Web, Mobile and a couple of legacy Desktop applications as part of their product suite.

Core Responsibilities
  • Release Planning: Owning the end-to-end release schedule, including managing release readiness reviews and go/no-go decisions.
  • Testing Strategy: Defining and overseeing test strategies (unit, integration, UAT) to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Testing: Driving test automation across business and overseeing manual test tasks of teams.
  • Release Management: Coordinating the release management process.
