Stratospherec is working with a Guildford‑based Enterprise Management software company that has thousands of clients across the UK and Europe. This DevOps Engineer is a new position in their growing DevOps team. The role is integral to the continued success of the TechOps team, serving as a central function that underpins the effective development and operation of the software‑as‑a‑service product the company supplies to its customers.
We are looking for candidates with 2 or more years of commercial DevOps Engineering experience, ideally in an AWS, Linux, NoSQL environment, with Python, Java or Bash scripting experience.
Role Responsibilities- CI/CD pipeline management
- Automation: writing automation scripts
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- System reliability & monitoring
- Security & compliance: integrating security (DevSecOps) into the DevOps lifecycle.
- Containerization: deploying and managing applications.
- Cloud operations & monitoring: monitoring system performance, uptime, and security.
- Scripting skills – Python, Bash or similar
- Provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Containerisation with Kubernetes or similar
- Monitoring with tools like DataDog, Prometheus or Grafana
- Database knowledge – NoSQL DBs, ideally MariaDB or DynamoDB
- Linux knowledge – Ubuntu or CentOS
- Experience working within an agile environment
- Knowledge of version control tools – Git
- Base salary: competitive
- Based in hi‑tech Guildford offices
