New Robotics Software Engineer role - Leading UK Business Saas Software Company - Bristol - Up to £45k

We are recruiting for a Robotics Software Engineer to join a growing team in central Bristol. They are based in beautiful offices in Central Bristol.

The company makes a Saa S platform specialising in workforce screening, deployment, attendance, tracking, and financial management solutions used by national clients across the globe.

Working alongside our software developers and robotics specialists, you will help develop, test and deploy software for autonomous robotic platforms, with a particular focus on quadruped robots and edge computing.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges and wants to work across robotics, computer vision, AI and autonomous navigation.

You will be involved in everything from developing new behaviours and integrating sensors through to deploying software onto live robotic platforms.

This role is based in their Bristol offices and pays £45k with a great benefits package.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Commercial or academic experience developing software in Python.
  • Experience working with ROS2.
  • Understanding of SLAM or Visual SLAM techniques.
  • Experience using Linux as a development environment.
  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Genuine interest in robotics and autonomous systems.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with the Unitree SDK or other quadruped robotic platforms.
  • Experience deploying software to NVIDIA Jetson or ARM edge devices.
  • Docker experience.
  • Experience developing Behaviour Trees.
  • Computer Vision or Edge AI experience.
  • Tensor RT optimisation.
  • Experience working with RTSP or Web RTC video streaming.
  • Knowledge of autonomous navigation or robotic perception.
