We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading construction consultancy working across some of the most high-profile and technically complex projects in London and the wider UK market. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional to play a key role in delivering large-scale developments across sectors such as commercial offices, data centres, life sciences, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial function across multiple projects, ensuring financial performance, risk management, and contract compliance.
  • Oversee cost planning, procurement, tendering, and contract administration from pre-construction through to final account.
  • Provide strategic commercial guidance to clients, acting as a trusted advisor on key decisions and contractual matters.
  • Manage and mentor junior commercial staff and quantity surveyors within the project team.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, contractors, and external consultants to ensure alignment of commercial objectives.
  • Support bid submissions and business development activity where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a consultancy or client-side environment, ideally on large-scale or technically demanding projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract forms including JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • RICS chartership (or working towards) is preferred, but not required.
  • A background in sectors such as commercial offices, life sciences, data centres, infrastructure, or high-end mixed-use is advantageous.
