A rapidly scaling European defence start up company is looking for a Commercial Director to lead global market expansion. The organisation specialises in delivering advanced solutions to address evolving security challenges.
This role is designed for someone who combines commercial acumen with a strong grasp of the defence ecosystem. Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a growth strategy for the Global defence market
- Build, nurture, and expand high-level relationships across government departments, procurement agencies, military stakeholders, and prime contractors.
- Lead negotiations for large-scale defence contracts and framework agreements
- Ensure close coordination with production, R&D, and testing teams to meet customer requirements, including during military trials
- Represent the organisation at defence exhibitions, industry events, and international forums
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory updates to shape business development strategy
Your Experience:
- Proven experience in defence sales and business development
- Strong understanding of the defence ecosystem and government procurement procedures
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute strategic growth initiatives, fostering long-term business partnerships.

- Fluency in English.
