We are looking to recruit a full time Medical Receptionist. Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.00am - 18.30pm. A medical receptionist is the first point of contact that patients and visitors have when they go to a GP practice. They play an important part at the surgery, putting patient care as a priority. Full support is given to all staff and we have an Open Door Policy any time of the day. Our Receptionist will play a vital part of a team.
We are a very friendly surgery with a good range of GP's, ANP's, Nurses, and HCA's. We are a teaching practice with 2 registrars, proficient and professional reception and admin team. We offer valuable training in all aspects of reception work. Previous experience would be beneficial as a receptionist; however, full training will be given. An understanding of General Practice would be advantageous.

Job responsibilities:
- Respond to Emails, Tasks from GP's.
- Provide Appointments to Patients and deal with any queries.

- Strathmore is an extremely busy GP Practice with over 14,000 patients and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Reception Team to support our Late Shift of working hours 10:00am - 18:30pm. Flexibility is necessary as start times may change depending on the business needs.
- The Reception Team have 2 Reception Supervisors overseeing the Team and we are now recruiting for a new receptionist to join the team.
- Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area.
- Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Flexible approach to provide cover for absent colleagues.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures as set out by the practice.
- Using a courteous and efficient manner at all times.
- Input of patients' data onto the system, i.e., change of address.
- Good communication and teamwork, with work to be shared out in a fair manner.
- Such other duties as specified by the Partners, Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, and Reception Supervisors.

- Medical terminology desired but full training will be given.
£23,809 a year based on Full Time Hours, 37.5 hours per week.
