Based in The Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club, an exciting position has been created to lead the hotel’s exceptionally busy internal Group Reservations and Events Department. The position would be all year round and comes with the inclusion of live-in accommodation for the correct candidate if required. The salary is very competitive and negotiable.
The job includes some of the following requirements:
- To process bookings via telephone and email and entering the correct details into the computer system and update reservations where necessary – either amendments or cancellations.
- To ensure that all Operators are aware of the hotel policy concerning payment and release times and managing invoicing and credit/ledger control to ensure swift payment.
- Effectively communicate with Reception concerning special request booking or last minute changes.
- Handle incoming Events emails and liaise with appropriate line manager/department to ensure swift response to new enquiries as well as amendments to existing events.
- We’re a small team so from time to time you may need to assist in other areas across the business, for example, assisting the wider Reception team during busy check-in/out shifts and during events.
The candidate:
- Experience in managing both individual and groups enquiries.
- Experience in managing events.
- A strong understanding of Guestline reservation system would be beneficial.
- As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.
- Possess a good command of the English language (spoken and written), excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, customer service orientated, computer literate i.e. word and excel.
Permanent Position, 5 days a week, Circa £27,000 based on experience, Working from site, Semi-flexible hours can be arranged, Generous annual leave, plus public holidays (pro rata), company health insurance.
