About The Role

Strathcarron Hospice provides Specialist Palliative Care to patients who have complex symptoms associated with any type of life‑limiting illness and also offering support to families/carers. As an Occupational Therapist your role is vital for our rehabilitative and multi‑professional approach which aims to enable patients to achieve and maintain the highest possible quality of life and where possible to be cared for in the place of their choice.

About You

We are seeking an energetic, motivated and flexible Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health Professionals team. You will need to be HCPC registered and bring experience from a range of clinical settings. Previous involvement in cancer care or palliative services would be advantageous. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with patients, families and colleagues. A commitment to person‑centred care, creative problem‑solving and collaborative working is essential. You will need access to a vehicle which will allow you to travel as required.

The post is subject to a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check by Disclosure Scotland. All new employees will be subject to a probationary period of six months, during which performance and suitability for the role will be assessed.
